Shirin began her career in 2000 researching gender issues. She has led the design and management of projects in areas such as local government, electoral support, parliamentary development, rule of law, social accountability, and conflict-sensitive governance.

Shirin’s expertise in governance, social protection, and project management is informed by a strong understanding of political economy and policy analysis.
