Syed M. Hasan
Syed M. Hasan is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at LUMS. Hasan obtained his PhD in Economics from Ohio State University in 2014.
His doctoral research focused on spatial policy instruments and firms productivity, and he currently conducts research on areas related to the provision of drinking water, estimating the economic cost of traffic congestion and residential carbon emissions associated with large urban centers.
Hasan has several publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining the academia, Hasan worked with the civil service of Pakistan.
